Support for Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) is crucial to promote good governance, transparency, and oversight on public financial management. When public sector audits produce impactful results that are free from political interference, we might also find an increase in public trust in institutions. With independent SAIs, the benefits reach further still: new opportunities may arise,  new partnerships can be forged, and development support is likely to be sustained for the long term.

IDI believes in the strength of SAIs to build public trust in government and institutions. Our approach is tailored to an SAI’s needs and includes peer support, expert advice, and 40 years of experience and network-building. Our results are proven to be effective, and we invite development partners to further explore our work through our Annual Report.
