People and Culture
The INTOSAI Development Initiative
Our team is made up of over 50 staff members from more than 30 countries, bringing together diverse professional and cultural perspectives that reflect the global nature of IDI’s work.
IDI is recognised internationally as a hub for knowledge and innovation in public sector auditing. We deliver support in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish for Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) worldwide to strengthen transparency, accountability, and good governance. Our culture rests on integrity and respect for diversity. We value the different perspectives and experiences of our colleagues, as these contribute to creativity, innovation, and impact. Guided by our core values: professional, innovative, collaborative and with heart, we are committed to our mission of supporting independent, credible, and sustainable SAIs. In doing so, we aim to contribute to better societies and improved lives, where public resources are used wisely and trust in institutions is strengthened.

Gender and Inclusion
Being gender-responsive and inclusive is a long-term journey for us in IDI. We will continue walking our path and contributing to more equality as an organisation and through our work.
As we approach 2030, we will use the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its pledge to “leave no one behind” as IDI’s guiding framework for ourselves and our action with Supreme Audit Institutions.
In our efforts towards gender equality and inclusion, we will strive towards identifying social inequalities within different contexts, using a principle-based approach.
IDI Advocating for Gender and Inclusion
One important source for gender data in Supreme Audit Institutions across the world is the IDI Global SAI Stocktaking Report. Such data is necessary for pointing to successes and challenges in this area.
IDI has an ongoing partnership with UN Women and will continue to work with relevant organisations to further the cause.
