SAI PMF Assessment of SAI Ukraine
Language: English
Together with the UK National Audit Office and the Norwegian National Audit Office, this work will help build a clearer, evidence-based picture of institutional performance and identify opportunities for improvement for the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine as an independent Supreme Audit Institution.
Why does this matter?
Because public funds must be used as intended, and strong, independent oversight institutions ensure they are spent right. At a time when Ukraine is receiving significant international support, better oversight means better tracking of international funding, stronger safeguards against corruption, and greater trust in how resources are managed.
“For more than a year, we have been working under the updated legislative framework, having integrated international auditing standards into our activities. However, the process of reforming our institution is not yet complete. Therefore, it is important for us to assess whether we are moving in the right direction and, if necessary, adjust this course through this work,” noted Olha Pishchanska, Chairperson of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.
The assessment is based on INTOSAI’s Supreme Audit Institution Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF), which analyses strengths and gaps in SAI performance against internal and external criteria.
