Sustainability

At IDI, sustainability is present in nearly all that we do. We embody sustainable practices in our work with Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) to help them build future-ready practices for their governance structures, audit practices, and to help them audit for sustainability. This means that we work across different sections of SAIs to help them add public value and enhance the impact of their work on society. 

We support capacity development for auditing sustainability in government actions, including for society, climate action, and in leveraging digital solutions. We also work with SAIs to create in-house expertise and sustainable audit and governance practices, including for strategic planning, human resources, and information technology. Through IDI’s initiatives, we are helping SAIs create positive impact for the long term.  

Through public auditing and strong governance practices, SAIs add public value by promoting efficiency, effectiveness, accountability and transparency in public administration.
