CCAA – Global Cooperative Audit of Climate Change Adaptation Actions 

IDI and the INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) are pleased to present the publication “Global Climate Adaptation Audits for a Resilient Future: Lessons and Recommendations from Supreme Audit Institutions.”

Recognising the significant impacts of climate change—particularly in vulnerable contexts such as Small Island Developing States—IDI and WGEA initiated a Global Cooperative Audit of Climate Change Adaptation Actions (CCAA) with the participation of 54 Supreme Audit Institutions worldwide. The audits examined areas including disaster risk reduction, water resource management, sea level rise and coastal resilience, and national adaptation planning.

This publication showcases key findings and demonstrates the essential role SAIs play in strengthening accountability and effectiveness in climate adaptation. We thank WGEA, participating SAIs, and partners for their contributions, and reaffirm our commitment to supporting SAIs in advancing climate action and resilience globally.
