The International Journal of Government Auditing has featured the Cooperative Audit of Climate Change Adaptation Actions (CCAA), an initiative led by IDI in partnership with the INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA). Supporting 54 Supreme Audit Institutions across seven INTOSAI regions, the initiative combined professional education, mentoring, and cooperative performance audits to strengthen SAIs’ capacity to assess government responses to climate change adaptation. The article highlights how structured capacity development enabled participating SAIs, including many Small Island Developing States, to deliver high-quality audits that contribute to stronger accountability and resilience in the face of climate change.
