Experts from SAI community and stakeholders were invited to share and reflect their experiences and views on the audit of implementation of SDGS and sustainable public procurement.
During the meeting, experts from US GAO, TCU Brazil, NAO Finland and CAG India shared their experiences on how to apply a whole of government approach and to examine issues of policy coherence, particularly on sustainable public procurement. Also, experts from OECD, IISD and UN provided an overview of sustainable public procurement (SPP) in the context of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs.
This three-day meeting is the second technical meeting on the development of ISAM. The objective of the Expert Group Meeting is to convene experts to discuss the proposed approach, methodology and relevant audit for the model and to receive technical inputs on the audit subject matter chosen for piloting the model (SDG target 12.7) in order to ensure that the audit model is relevant, focused and meets adequate quality standards.
