The Global Survey is the main source for the triannual Global SAI Stocktaking Report. While the next edition of this report was scheduled to be released in 2020, it has now been decided that distribution of the survey will be postponed until third quarter 2020 so that SAIs can focus on their oversight work related to Covid-19, and can have more time to adjust to this new normal.

Covid-19 pandemic has affected us all around the world and SAIs are experiencing reduced capacity of work.
Considering this, and in particular to ensure that we do not burden SAIs more than necessary at this challenging time the launch of the survey has been postponed until the third quarter of the year 2020. While we do not know what the situation will look like in the coming months, we remain hopeful that postponing the Global Survey would help us get a response rate as high as in previous Global Surveys, as well as ensuring complete and SAI-wide responses. This would entail that the Global SAI Stocktaking report 2020 will be published by second quarter of year 2021.
