The IDI has certified a pool of 39 eLearning Specialists in the ASOSAI through IDI-ASOSAI Programme on eLearning Specialists Certification, upon completing a comprehensive evaluation process as defined in IDI’s evaluation framework for certifying eLearning Specialists.
Coinciding with IDI-ASOSAI Blended Learning Specialists Certification Workshop, which was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 9-27 October 2017, Archana Shirsat, Deputy Director General of IDI and Ms. Sirin Ankaphasem, Deputy Auditor General of SAI Thailand awarded Certificate of Competence to 39 eLearning Specialists on 25 October 2017, formally conferring them as IDI eLearning Specialists. This certification by competencies is first of its kind at the IDI in its capacity development initiatives.
The ASOSAI Capacity Development Administrator has already selected three eLearning Specialists from this pool to be used in its IT Audit Programme, which will be delivered in 2018. Similarly, the IDI will engage about ten of them in its eLearning Specialists Certification Programme in other English Speaking regions in 2018. Besides, all of them are expected to support their SAIs’ regular training and capacity development programmes.
A total of 55 participants from 18 SAIs in ASOSAI participated in the IDI-ASOSAI eLearning Specialist Certification Programme, out of which 47 participants completed a minimum required activities of eLearning course thereby qualifying for the evaluation phase. Out of 47 participants, 39 participants passed the evaluation on both personal traits and functional competencies, and hence certified them as eLearning Specialists.
