Meet the IDI Board
IDI's Board is composed of ten members from different supreme audit institutions. Get to know them better in our "Meet the Board" series.
The IDI and the Swiss Secretariat of Economic Affairs (SECO) have signed a funding agreement for the Strategy, Performance Measurement and Reporting (SPMR) programme, which will commence its global roll-out in 2019. SECO will provide a funding of three million Swiss Francs (3,000,000 CHF) towards the costs of the program, supplemented by IDI basket funds.
SPMR is an IDI initiative that supports Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) throughout their strategic management cycle. The programme’s rationale is that SAIs and INTOSAI Regions should develop and maintain a strategic planning and management process that enables them to achieve strategic outcomes. The programme’s global objective is to have strategically managed SAIs and INTOSAI Regions leading to higher performance.
Over a period of five years, SPMR will support participating SAIs and INTOSAI Regions to better assess, plan, monitor and manage their performance, through the implementation of a sound strategic and operational planning process, as well as the establishment of an effective monitoring and reporting framework.
SPMR entails a multi-level approach, where SAIs and Regions will benefit from handbooks, guidance and materials, and sequenced workshops, as well as remote and on-site assistance based on needs. The programme incorporates an extensive use of the SAI Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF) methodology, as well as other tools such as the SAI and Regional Strategic Management Frameworks.
