The first activity for the 11 SAIs that are participating in the programme, is to assess their current level of performance using the SAI Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF). This event was the SAI PMF basic training that was held in Abu Dhabi 18-22 March. The training was kindly hosted by the State Audit Institution of the United Arab Emirates. A dedicated and enthusiastic group of participants were present. The objective of the workshop was for the 11 self-assessment teams to learn the SAI PMF methodology and start planning their assessments by developing their draft Terms of References. The next step will be for the teams to return to their SAIs and conduct their SAI PMF assessments with support from IDI and regional resource persons.
